XB—M161 is a colorless epoxy coating for casting.
XB—M161 is to be hardened only with XC—M161 at 25% with no thinners addition.
Combined with XC—M161 it results in a totally colorless and yellowing resistant casting.
We recommend using it on clear surfaces such as marble or granite; it ensures excellent adhesion and
good mechanical properties.
The maximum thickness suggested is 3 cm per casting.
Total time required for hardening depends on the casting thickness; the thicker the thickness, the faster
is the hardening time. Similarly, pot life becomes shorter with the increase in the quantity of the blend,
even if it remains very long.
Temperatures positively affect drying time.
XB—M161 can be polished or overcoated, after sanding, with standard solvent-based acrylic products,
either gloss or matt. We suggest polishing the product at least 72 hours after complete drying.
XB—M161 can also be used to prepare items containing various inclusions (stones, wood, etc.)
In case the casting is made on wood, the surface must be adequately sealed by proper PU barriers (FI—
M041, FI—M192) in order to avoid air bubbles.
da XB—M161 and XC—M161 epoxy system has a VOC equal to zero, so is emissions-free and
